The Anglican Communion Office provides the central administration for the worldwide Anglican Communion. The Communion consists of 38 autonomous Provinces, each in a specified geographical area, which are bound together in bonds of fellowship and, to a large extent, interchangability of ministers. One of the services the Office provides is that of circulating news briefings through the Anglican Communion News Service
The Church of England is the Anglican Province for England, though it also includes the Diocese of Europe as a constituent part. Here you will find useful links as well as a source of information about the Church, its life and its worship.
The Diocese of St Albans is roughly coterminous with the Counties of Bedfordshire (including Luton) and Hertfordshire together with the London Borough of Barnet.

Anglicans Online is the gateway to a whole host of resources about the Anglican Communion. It is not an official site but is offered by a small group of people who provide this as a service to others. They are careful to present information that is as accurate and unbiased as possible.

St Martin's does not accept the priestly ministry of women and has been granted extended episcopal oversight by the Bishop of Richborough, Keith Newton.
Forward in Faith is the national body for churches like St Martin's which hold to the traditionalist position on women's ministry.
The various Christian churches in Bedford link with each other in a variety of ways. Under the All Bedford Churches Together umbrella there are four main ecumenical groupings, each covering a variety of Christian traditions. Although St Martin's is on the edge of town its most convenient link is with the Central Bedford Churches grouping.

St Martin's is in the Borough of Bedford. This is part of the historic County of Bedfordshire. Since April 2009 the County no longer exists as a local authority as all of its functions are carried out by the three unitary authorities of Bedford, Central Bedfordshire and Luton which cooperate in the performance of certain services for the whole county.
